What it is
Ohio Works First (OWF) is Ohio’s TANF program — time-limited monthly cash assistance for eligible low-income families with children. Benefits are limited to 36 months in Ohio (extensions exist for hardship), and most adult recipients must participate in work activities to stay eligible.
How Gesher helps
Cash assistance interacts with SNAP, Medicaid, child care and child support in complicated ways — taking one benefit can change another. We’ll map out the combined picture before you apply, so there are no surprises, and handle the paperwork end-to-end.
