Reminder: HEAP applications and Winter Crisis are seasonal — don't wait

A reminder as we head through the heating season:

• Regular HEAP (the one-time heating credit) accepts applications through May 31 for the current program year.
• Winter Crisis / Emergency HEAP runs November 1 through March 31 and can help immediately if you have a shut-off notice, have been disconnected, or are below a quarter tank of fuel.

Our staff are trained in HEAP processing with direct access to the state system — in most cases we can submit and confirm your application in a single appointment. Bring your current gas and electric bills, photo ID, Social Security cards for the household, and the last 30 days of income for everyone in the household.
